ABOUT ME
Dominique Marinello, Ed.D., M.S. &
Educational Therapist
A lifelong learner myself, I hold a Doctorate in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Science in Psychology. Working at the intersection of psychology and education, I've conducted research at Johns Hopkins, Harvard, and USC to examine various factors influencing student achievement and the benefits of social interaction on learning and well-being.

Insights from psychology, neuroscience and education guide my current practice as an Educational Therapist. I have been working to support students of all ages and of a diverse range of learning differences since 2015.
MY APPROACH
Identify, Strategize & Support
I use a relational approach. I first meet with a student to identify sources of strength, areas of struggle, as well as goals in education (and beyond). Families are encouraged to participate as partners in this process. I then use what I learn to develop a customized educational plan to meet each student's unique needs.

With a plan in place, the student and I work collaboratively to address areas of need and work toward goals. I often develop and help implement new systems for organization and time management, introduce new learning strategies, and flexibly respond to new demands that may arise.

My approach is designed to provide students the support they need to build new skills and habits, with the ultimate goal of fostering independent learning and academic success.
